Today
I attended my first meeting, as a 'visitor', to decide
whether I'd like to join. Having ended the meeting
with three prospective new clients, and a lot of very
excited interest. I'm in! Wrap it, I'll take it!

I
just thought that you might like to know that I have just
totalled up the amount of revenue TipTop generated through
Athena referrals from June 2005 to end of June 2006 (my 1st
year) and it came to: £24,740.12p.
Needless to say, I will be renewing my membership this year!

It
was lovely to meet you today and I really did enjoy the
meeting. Having been really apprehensive about the whole
networking idea it was great to meet so many nice ladies in
such a relaxed environment and to see networking happening
naturally without any pressure.

I
felt privileged to have been part of the workshop and will
certainly digest and put into practice all that you have
taught us.

Enjoyed being in an
atmosphere that is both warm and ‘buzzing’ whilst increasing
my knowledge and experiences of networking.

What
I enjoyed about today's workshop was that I am learning more
about the 'ease and grace' of networking ... it's finally
becoming less daunting. Thank you.

Robyn Hatley - Regional Director,
South West London, Richmond Upon Thames Borough
Robyn is the Regional Director for the South West Middlesex area, currently encompassing Teddington, with Twickenham, Richmond and Hampton Groups launching in early 2008. After 12 years of climbing the corporate ladder as an HR Consultant, working both in South Africa and the UK, and in industries ranging from Corporate Retail head offices to Public Sector Departments, Robyn found that a large part of her job involved career counselling women employees who found themselves at a crossroads. Soon after facing her own career crossroads, Robyn took the plunge and launched her own venture called “Mums The Business”. As a coach and small business advisor, Robyn specialises in helping other mums successfully start-up and grow their own home-based business. Driven by a desire to show that mums can have a successful and profitable home-based business that is based on their own terms, Mums The Business now also offers free teleforums, business start-up telecourses and personalised business coaching. Robyn currently also volunteers her expertise to
Enterprise First
– a not for profit Business Advisory Service based in Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire. Having moved to the UK from South Africa 10 years ago, Robyn is also committed to charities which support both her country of birth and her local community in the UK. As such, she is a serial fundraiser for
The Shooting Star Children’s Hospice (based in Hampton), for which she recently jumped out of an aeroplane at 10,000 feet for! And Robyn is an Ambassador for
The Starfish Greathearts Foundation
(which supports children in Southern Africa, who have been orphaned or made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS). As a skilled work/life balance artist (after much practice!), Robyn also manages to spend quality time with her 2 young and energetic daughters, and her equally energetic husband (who recently retired as a professional sportsman). “Athena is so much more than a business network for me – it’s also a community of like-minded women who are as equally supportive and inspirational, as they are professional. The focus of Athena is on sharing, collaborating, and encouraging - all mixed in with a huge dollop of fun! Not only are business alliances made, but friendships too. For someone like me who recently started up her own business from home, Athena is my monthly tonic towards achieving both my professional & personal best!” Robyn Hatley Regional Director - The Athena Network
