 Jonquil Bennett is the new Regional
Director for South Milton Keynes
district, which covers all of Milton
Keynes town and Buckingham.
Jonquil is a natural communicator and
loves to build relationships. She worked
for a number of years training inner
city teenagers in Youth Training Schemes
in London. Later she worked with adults
with severe learning disabilities in
Buckinghamshire, eventually running two
busy Social Services Day Centres.
After
a spell of difficult health problems
following a six months trip to India,
Jonquil moved to Devon. There she
started her business “Footsteps to
Health”, in which she offers a variety
of complementary health treatments, and
markets health enhancing products and
equipment. This is where she learnt the
value for small businesses of
networking, and she joined the oldest
networking group in the world, - village
life!
On
her recent return to Buckinghamshire,
Jonquil felt the need for structured
networking, and happily for her was
introduced to the Athena Network. It
was wonderful to be part of a group
again, and she is keen to get people
together and involved. Her training and
management background, coupled with her
history of working with diverse groups
of people give her just the experience
she needs to make her groups a success.
Jonquil is naturally enthusiastic, well
motivated and sociable, and is excited
about this new opportunity. She has
other passions too, including family
life, gardening, painting, walking,
travelling and having fun in this
glorious world!
