Today
I attended my first meeting, as a 'visitor', to decide
whether I'd like to join. Having ended the meeting
with three prospective new clients, and a lot of very
excited interest. I'm in! Wrap it, I'll take it!

I
just thought that you might like to know that I have just
totalled up the amount of revenue TipTop generated through
Athena referrals from June 2005 to end of June 2006 (my 1st
year) and it came to: £24,740.12p.
Needless to say, I will be renewing my membership this year!

It
was lovely to meet you today and I really did enjoy the
meeting. Having been really apprehensive about the whole
networking idea it was great to meet so many nice ladies in
such a relaxed environment and to see networking happening
naturally without any pressure.

I
felt privileged to have been part of the workshop and will
certainly digest and put into practice all that you have
taught us.

Enjoyed being in an
atmosphere that is both warm and ‘buzzing’ whilst increasing
my knowledge and experiences of networking.

What
I enjoyed about today's workshop was that I am learning more
about the 'ease and grace' of networking ... it's finally
becoming less daunting. Thank you.

Dee Jones - Regional Director, Birmingham
Regional Director for The Athena Network’s
Solihull and Sutton Coldfield area, Dee Jones
began her career in high street sales, moving to
local government shortly after. Two years later,
she missed the dynamic sales environment sales,
and joined Walkers Snack Foods.
Working her way through the sales hierarchy,
managing sales teams and national accounts, she
discovered a passion for training and
development.
Dee fast gained a reputation for excellence and
integrity, and was dubbed the ‘people’s trainer’
for her ability to connect easily with people.
Latterly she trained sister companies across
Europe, as well as in the UK.
Driven by a desire to share her knowledge and
skills with smaller businesses, and to
experience a world beyond crisps, Dee left
Walkers and set up her own training business.
She has worked with all sorts of companies -
from French pastry importers to garden centres,
child care providers, and accountants.
Dee is an enthusiastic advocate of networking.
All of her business outside Athena is generated
by word of mouth, and networking has brought her
not only work, but genuine friends as well. She
is passionate about the Athena Network and the
opportunities it presents to members to make new
contacts, grow their businesses, and to achieve
the very best for themselves.
