 Beverley
is the Regional Director of The Athena
Network for Reading. Her successful
career in the field of Human Resources
Management spans almost 25 years. She
has held a number of senior roles during
that time, including heading up a team
supporting the European head office of
an Internationally based organisation.
In
the spring of 2006 she felt she deserved
a break from Corporate life. The break
gave her a chance to become involved in
working with some local charities and
exploring what happens in life outside
of the corporate arena. She is now the
Vice Chair of Home-Start Slough, a
charity that is devoted to offering
support, friendship and practical help
to parents with young children
During 2007,
Beverley decided to pursue her ambition
of setting up and running her own
business. It was at this point that
Partnership Human Resources (phr)

was born. Having decided what the
business would provide and to whom, she
then had to set about sourcing a
customer base.
This
was when she discovered networking. One
of Beverley’s main passions in life is
people and that is the one thing she
really missed on leaving her job.
Networking is about connecting people
and this is why Beverley immediately
understood, trusted and fully embraced
the networking environment. In fact,
she found it so critical in setting up
phr that she became Reading’s Regional
Director for the Athena Network too!
There
is an honesty and integrity about
networking with like minded business
women in a relaxed environment and
Beverley is keen to see this become a
standard practice in the way that
business is done in Reading
As a
keen scuba diver, Beverley’s other
passion is marine life but you’ll be
pleased to know that she won’t be
welcoming any sharks to her networking
meetings
