Julie Eltham – Regional Director

Julie Eltham is a highly successful businesswoman and entrepreneur with over 25 year’s experience across a range of service-related industries. Her passion is using her own skills and experiences to encourage and motivate others to achieve their potential.

Julie began her career in recruitment from where she moved into the cosmetics industry promoting leading brands to prestigious clients that included Harrods and Selfridges. She quickly progressed up the managerial ladder and was soon running a team of over 100 consultants. It was during this period that her natural flair for motivation really blossomed.

Following the birth of her two children and with the requirement to balance the needs of child care and household costs, Julie decided to run her own business. Present Surprise was an extremely successful executive gift company based in Oxshott, Surrey, which gave Julie the opportunity to develop her entrepreneurial flair and business management skills.

After selling Present Surprise, Julie identified an opportunity in the domestic cleaning market and set up Bizzy Bees, which was soon employing 50 cleaners to service over 200 contracts.

A chance invitation to an Athena women-only networking meeting in Twickenham was a major turning point in Julie’s Life. She was overwhelmed by the warmth and enthusiasm she found at the meeting and realised she had discovered her true vocation. Julie sold Bizzy Bees and bought the Athena franchise for Wimbledon. The group was an immediate success and Julie quickly added 4 more groups in the surrounding areas. Streatham and Hampton Court which open in September and October 2011 respectively, will take the total number of her Athena groups up to 7.

The secret of Julie’s success in the networking market is that her groups are friendly, supportive and non-pressured. As Julie says:

‘My vision is to encourage more women to network and in turn realise their full potential by helping and inspiring them and providing valuable connections’.

Julie has created a warm and friendly atmosphere in her groups in which the ladies can flourish and build significant business relationships.
